"Max in Motion" Foundation Empty "Max in Motion" Foundation

Jonah Shacknai started a memorial foundation in 2012, to celebrate and honor his 6 yo son, Max, who was an enthusiastic and talented young soccer player. The Foundation provides sports equipment to needy kids, and sports equipment for people with disabilities. The Foundation, IMO, is very well structured, and appears to be financially healthy. The Max in Motion Foundation is now 4 years old, and thriving. Truly a respectful, honest, and worthy remembrance for Max, and centered around what Max loved. Success we can all celebrate!

MaxInMotion® Scholarships Benefitted 7,085 Young Athletes During First Four Years.

The recipients of MaxInMotion® sports scholarships hail from Arizona and southern California, and participate in competitive soccer, basketball, hockey, and wheelchair basketball and wheelchair power soccer.

During its first four years, MaxInMotion® has:

Awarded 7,085 scholarships to young athletes, enabling them to participate in competitive sports.
Established, with Ability 360, the first wheel chair basketball and soccer clinics which will lead to the formation of MaxInMotion® competitive leagues for disabled youth.

June 7, 2016 - MaxInMotion Celebrates Fourth Anniversary by Expanding to Southern California.

Today, on the fourth anniversary of the MaxInMotion Foundation, I am delighted to announce our expansion to Southern California.  Using specially earmarked funds to establish unique programs integrating soccer, academics and upward economic opportunity, MaxInMotion is working with soccer leagues to identify promising players, and provide them and their families with academic counseling as well as exposure to college soccer programs where scholarships and other opportunities may be available. For the vast majority of these young athletes, college would not be attainable without our program, and all will be first generation college students.

Since launching MaxInMotion, we have created life-advancing opportunities for 7,085 young athletes in Arizona, by providing athletic participation scholarships in soccer, hockey, basketball and several wheelchair sports.  Today, we are the largest single source of support in Arizona for these comprehensive sports programs, and thanks to our volunteer staff over 99% of our funds directly benefit the kids.

We need your help to do even more. As MaxInMotion presently serves the needs of thousands of young athletes, we know there are far more requiring our help. I ask you to continue your generosity and make a tax deductible contribution to MaxInMotion, either on our secure website donation page, or by sending a check to our offices at 3333 East Camelback Road, Suite 200, Phoenix, AZ 85018.

The need is great to help kids in our community advance life skills, fitness and talents through professionally directed and motivating sports programs. Without our help, these financially or physically challenged youth would lose this opportunity.  We cannot let that happen.  Please do what you are able to support us.   You are helping us improve thousands of lives each year.

With gratitude,

Jonah Shacknai
